Someone Will Be With You Shortly:
Notes From A Perfectly Imperfect Life by Lisa Kogan

As a big fan of Oprah, I subscribe and read O magazine religiously. Under the covers the magazine is full of tons of great information. One column that never seizes to make me chuckle is Lisa Kogan's column onlife; quirky, human, and authentic

This week I was asked to review her new book, Someone Will Be with You in a Moment, and found Lisa Kogan at her best.

Lying in bed last night, reading beside my daughter, I found myself giggling, smiling, and shaking my head in recognition of Lisa’s comments on life, motherhood, family, work, and life partners. Being of a similar age (she is a tad younger) and having a daughter (mine is a tad older) she speaks to all women between 25-65 and covers just about everything, making you laugh at the absurdity of it all.

The book is a series of essays that link together, but don’t necessarily have to be read together. Each essay disarms with an “I am old enough to finally tell the truth” attitude. Candid and funny, Kogan is willing to acknowledge it all from her mean neighbor to confessing that Adam Glassman sent her on her way to be refit in to a bra that she said may them stand out straight and narrow. She relays these stories with such humor you can’t help but laugh out loud at every page.

If you’re looking for a funny, witty book that you can read one chapter at a time without losing the storyline, you’ll want to pick up a copy of this book.
